Mr. and Mrs. Eugene GRIMES will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday July 9 with an open house at their home in Russellville from 2
5 p. m. All relatives and friends are welcome. Eugene E. Grimes and Lula M. Hester were united in marriage July 12, 1911 by Rev. Thomas Kuhns at the home of the bride in Russellville. The Grimes are the parents of six children: Mrs. Freeda Wiat; Mrs Kathern Kelly; Randel Grimes; John A. Grimes; Mrs. Beulah Allgood and David E. Grimes lost in the Navy 1945. They have 16 grandchildren and two great grandsons.

A large crowd of relatives and friends attended open house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Grimes in North Russellville Sunday afternoon in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. Favors of tiny gold wedding bells were pinned on the guests by the granddaughters, Misses Beverly Grimes and Madonna Grimes, while another granddaughter, Miss Dixie Kelly had charge of registering guests. White cake, fruit punch, nuts and mints were served from the dining room table by daughters and daughters-in-laws. Several nice gifts and numerous greeting cards were received by the couple. 209 guests were registered. They were from Fayetteville, Arkansas; Indianapolis; Colfax; Crawfordsville; Greencastle; Lebanon; New Market; Ladoga; Roachdale; Bellville; Coatesville; Waveland; Browns Valley and Russellville.
